Strand Consulting Corporation was founded in 2008 by Ms. Nayana Mehta, an ambitious mother who left a high-paying corporate job for her family. Her passion to work marked the beginning of a 100 percent women-owned company. We began offering rebar detailing services from our home in Hauppauge, NY, initially partnering with just one contractor. In two years, we expanded to include four civil engineers, and today, we proudly employ thirty of them with a new office in India.
